Compact Matrix Magazine
The matrix magazine handles large tools up to 21.6" in diameter, and weighing 59.4 lbs. Tools are delivered to the work area by a high-speed, servo-driven transfer robot.

Using PC-based software, the operator can see a layout of the entire matrix magazine. Simply touch the screen on an area of the magazine to zoom in. Touch again on any tool to see detailed information and an image of that tool. The magazine controller reads the part program to pre-select and display the needed tools. Continuous monitoring of the magazine, loading station, and revolver keeps track of every tool.

Touchless tool identification can be added as an option. With tool ID, each tool holder is embedded with a tiny computer chip that stores tool-specific information. After a tool change, the reader on the tool retrieval arm downloads the data. Tool length monitoring is also available. Each tool is analyzed by a laser outside of the machining area, so production is never interrupted.

OP Supporter software enhances tool management by providing a convenient overview of the magazine at the machine CNC. OP Supporter confirms that the right sub-programs and tools are ready for each job. Tool change speed is automatically adjusted according to tool weight to optimize cycle time. OP Supporter's maintenance functions are designed to simplify diagnostics and provide reminders for preventative maintenance.
