Breathe New Life Into Overworked Machines
If older machines are slowing you down, but the cost of purchasing a new one doesn’t fit your budget, consider rebuilding or remanufacturing your machine with the Toyoda Remanufactured Products Division (RPD). Our team of professionals has decades of experience bringing machining centers and grinding machines back to OEM specifications. From updating obsolete controls to adding a 5th axis to reverse engineering, they do it all with the quality craftsmanship and quality service you’ve come to expect from Toyoda.
Subassembly rebuilding is a full or partial reconditioning of the machine that offers a quick turnaround time in bringing your machine back to like-new, OEM condition. To determine what steps are necessary to bring the machine back to its original specifications, our engineers conduct a point-by-point inspection. Smaller repairs can be performed at your facility using OEM replacement parts. Larger repairs, such as automation, control retrofits, gaging, part programming, and upgraded coolant systems, are done at our fully-equipped Wixom, Michigan, location.
In this complete overhaul of a machine, RPD strips the machine down to the base, where all major castings are steam cleaned, sand blasted, primed, and painted. Subassemblies are assessed and repaired as needed, and parts that have metal-to-metal contact are hand scraped for perfect alignment. Controls are upgraded to newer, user-friendly models, while mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies are replaced. Each machine is thoroughly tested by our engineers before returning to your shop floor. All remanufactured machines carry up to a one-year warranty.
Retooling & Retrofitting
RPD also offers newly designed and upgraded tooling, as well as the ability to update hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical control devices. Our team can also replace your machine’s controls with the latest technology to support your production demands.
Our 75,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 51300 West Pontiac Trail in Wixom, Michigan, has repaired machines since the late 1970s. RPD has a climate-controlled inspection room and is capable of custom CNC control systems and controls engineering. Our Global Parts Division has more than 5,500 different replacement parts in stock, and is capable of sourcing hard-to-find parts with short lead times.
