TOP Center Series High production flexible machining lines
Toyoda is a
world leader in high-volume cylinder head and cylinder block
machining systems. Choose from traditional transfer lines, fully
flexible, or hybrid lines with full systems integration and
program management by our experienced engineering team.
Flexible lines are based on Toyoda’s reliable TOP Series machining
centers. Toyoda’s TOP Series machines have more flexibility
than traditional transfer

lines while rivaling
dedicated systems for high production output. Each unit has
a very small footprint and is configured for close machine-to-machine
spacing. Using our stand-alone, modular units will never lock
you in to a single part or machining process. A full portfolio
of dedicated slides, multi-spindle heads, head changers and
special-purpose machines are also available. |

TOP Center Features Contributing to Reliability and Maintainability
- Index tables are available with 360
positions, (with curvic coupling) or 360,000, providing a full
fourth axis.
- The GE Fanuc multiprocessor ensures
high-speed machine performance, precision and ease of programming.
- Spindle speeds from 2,000 to 10,000
rpm and variable horsepower available. Suitable for many applications.
- All
axes are column-mounted to facilitate parts transfer.
- The slant bed
design and deeply inclined slide covers maintain unobstructed
chip flow. Chip evacuation is at the rear of the machine.
- Column
mounted ATC maintains change time regardless of X axis position.
Limit switches are eliminated for accuracy, reliability and reduced
maintenance.

Sample System Configurations
 |
Stand alone machine
The machining center specification which is usable as a stand alone machine is
also prepared. |
 |
Manual work line
No distance between machines by setting R/L units to one. |
 |
Swing arm type loader
It is an automatic line combining single machines with the independent loading/unloading
station. |
 |
Transfer line
It is an example which is installed to the transfer line with divided beds facing
each other and is constituted for the production type FTL. |
